Phil Hale

A few films I made with my good friend Phil Hale.

First we have Machines.

These are, as you can see in the first half, 3D renditions of his cut-up machines. The cut-up machines are an original idea of Phil Hale's and being rendered with his consent. Just a personal video. But, one which I learned a great deal from.
Created and rendered with 3DS MAX. Produced and edited in Premiere.

Second we have Mockingbirds.

This is a short video I created for a 3D class where the assignment was to take a 2D image. Be it a photograph or painting and make it 3D. On top of that, you had to create what was beyond the photo or painting. Example, a photo of an alley way but you see an intersection, go make that street that is intersecting but you do not see it in the photo. I decided to tackle a painting by an artist, I look up to, by the name of Phil Hale.

Figures were sculpted with Zbrush, rest of it created, and rendered using 3DS Max.

All credit goes to Phil Hale for his amazing talent. Jon Wygens, Joe Evans, and Paul Wigens for composing the Golden Phone sound for mockingbirds.
